If you've watched football for any length of time you know that coaches will call a trick play from time to time to throw off the other team. They have names like the Statue of Liberty, or the Flea Flicker. We don't know of any trick play in football that involves the quarterback doing a backflip to distract the defense though! Well, we didn't know about that trick play until this weekend when Syracuse did it. They split their quarterback out wide, and he lined up against a defensive back...he wasn't going to run a pass route or anything, he just did a backflip. It caught the eye of the announcers who were just as shocked as the rest of us. Too bad there was a horrible pass happening on the other side of the field for no gain!
