The DPS reports five people died in two separate wrecks in Chambers County Friday. The first was on FM 563, south of I-10 when the driver, 37-year-old Kara Beagle of Liberty, left the road and struck a tree. She died at the scene along with three passengers 19-year-old Jayshawn Godfrey of Houston, and a minor female and minor male. The second wreck happened about 45 minutes later. A minor driving on First Street in Winnie went through a stop sign and crashed. The driver died at the scene. A passenger was transported to the hospital.
