A Jefferson County grand jury has cleared four police officers involved in two separate fatal shootings in Beaumont. On December 12th following a pursuit that started in Port Arthur and ended near I-10 and 7th in Beaumont officers were forced to shoot and kill 46-year-old Ray Vital, of Beaumont who exited his vehicle pointing a gun at officers. On Christmas Eve, Beaumont officers went to the 4400 block of Diamond for a disturbance. Once on scene, 33-year-old Jordan Bossette, of Beaumont, charged towards officers with a gun. He was shot and died at the scene.
