A man is heading to prison for stabbing a clerk in the face at a Port Arthur convenience store. Judge Raquel West sentenced 24 year old Wilmer Godinez to 12 years yesterday for the August 2024 incident. After his arrest and before he could be prosecuted, Godinez was deported to his home country of Guatemala. He was arrested two months later illegally reentering the United States and was sentenced to a year in federal prison.
