Suspect Changes Plead During Trial

A Beaumont man on trial for human trafficking entered a guilty plea yesterday during day two of

his trial. 24-year old Darrell Gerard Jordan was then sentenced by Judge Raquel West to 25 years

in prison. He also received a 10 year sentence for a firearms violations. The sentences will run

concurrently. Jordan was arrested two years ago when a 16 year old girl was found in a

Beaumont motel room with him. A second suspect, Paige Sidney, of Groves, is awaiting trial.
