Southwest Airlines Pilots Strike

(Dallas, TX) --Over 13-hundred Southwest Airlines pilots are marching on a picket line, upset over unfair working conditions and poor pay. The workers marched in Dallas, with the pilots' union saying contract negotiations have been ongoing for two years with no real progress. Staffing shortages have rocked the airline industry recently, as demand for travel is up to the highest numbers since 2019. The president of the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association says roughly 30-percent of pilots are being reassigned daily, with about 96-hundred pilots currently with the company.
