Troopers Stopping Traffic Coming From Louisiana

Texas state troopers are now operating checkpoints at the Texas-Louisiana line to screen people

driving in from the Pelican State. Inbound drivers will be required to fill out a form telling

where they plan to self-quarantine for 14-days, which is now mandatory for people arriving from

Louisiana. The paperwork will also ask for the driver's license info so troopers can do a random

follow-up at a later time. The troopers started operating the checkpoints on Sunday. People who

violate the order could spend 180-days in jail or be fined a thousand-dollars. Commercial truck

drivers are not being stopped coming into the state.
