Former Corrections Officer Pleads Guilty

A former senior corrections officer at the Federal Prison Complex in Beaumont has pleaded

guilty to assaulting an inmate. According to court documents, In June of 2017, 34-year old

Tavoris Bottley punched an inmate in the face and head multiple times without justification.

Bottley faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine. Bottley’s supervisor, Lt.

Khristal Ford, pleaded guilty earlier this year to aiding and abetting in the assault.
