Three OrangeCounty residents were arrested on Tuesday on drug charges following a traffic stop and a further investigation led to three more arrests. A deputy stopped a pickup that veered into oncoming traffic on Highway 62. As the vehicle was pulling over, what turned out to be a methamphetamine pie as thrown for the vehicle. A .45 caliber pistol was found in the vehicle. 34-year old Timothy Murphy of Orange, 33-year old Sara Smith of Orange, and 31-year Jonathan Quebedaux of Vidor were all arrested. Officers were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Murphy’s home in Orange and three people inside the home were in possession of methamphetamine. 40-year old Jason Penn of Orange, 31-year old Tara Murphy of Orange, and 19-year old Hillary Fenton of Beaumont were all arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges were filed against some of the suspects.
