The DPS has released the name of a truck driver that was killed yesterday in a fiery wreck on I-10 in OrangeCounty. 53-year old Robert William McElveen, of Elmendorf Texas, was driving east when he crashed into traffic that had stopped for an earlier fatality just across the Sabine River in Louisiana. McElveen was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in his 18-wheeler, 29-year old Robert Adam Dorion, of San Antonio, is listed in critical condition. A Louisiana couple that was in a car struck by the 18-wheeler are in stable condition. A driver of a third vehicle involved in the wreck, 26-year old Marshall Picket, of Cypress, was not hurt. The wreck forced the interstate to be shut down for several hours.
